Around 0600 I was woken by vibrations from the ship’s screws rotating hard astern.  We were in Manila Harbour and not far from the wharf. Not long after we were secure alongside the finger wharf with a French Naval Frigate (Guarrette was it’s name I think) next to us and the Coast Guard on the other side.

I wasn’t supposed to be going ashore (under Dr’s orders) however after breakfast Shane & I met Ian & Julie, Helen & Colin and Mark & Pauline at Centrum before hitting the gangway and grabbing a mini-bus taxi. We negotiated a fee ($100USD for all 8 of us) for a day of touring and off we went.

First stop was San Augustine’s church.

Finally we were taxied to SM Mall, the largest mall in Asia and large it was!

Back on board we showered, had tea, went to the show then headed to bed very tired.
